Hey, pay attention!

Through a special social media campaign, the name of this sock was chosen. First, our black-tailed godwit followers were invited to suggest names freely. From a long list, we selected four strong candidate names. Then, an open vote determined the preferred name, and by a clear majority, "Red Alert" was chosen.

The choice of "Red Alert" carries a strong, urgent message. The black-tailed godwit is in trouble, with its population declining by about 5% per year due to habitat loss. Essential needs of the black-tailed godwit, such as moist, herb-rich grasslands with abundant insects, are disappearing rapidly.

In response, Bird Protection Netherlands launched the initiative "Every Meter Counts!" Their message reads, "Black-tailed godwits and other meadow birds are on the brink of extinction in our country. On intensively managed grasslands, they find neither food nor shelter for their chicks. Only in meadows full of flowers, herbs, and insects can they safely nest and raise their young. However, most fields are as flat as a billiard table: short green grass, without flowers, without life."

The red color symbolizes threat and action. Launch a decisive attack at the right moment to leave your competition behind. Create a gap, flying so low that the morale of your rivals disappears instantly. The bird has flown!
